10 Cool Bagel Activities to do on
National Bagel Day:
1. Try to use the word "Bagelicious" as many times as possible all day. Some examples:
- "Wow, that lunch was bagelicious..."
- "Dude, that home run was bagelicious..."
- "Your dances moves are crazy bagelicious..."
- "That music video is totally bagelicious..." (referring of course to "Bagel-Time" music video ;-)
- "Wow, that lunch was bagelicious..."

2. Make your own Bagel Glasses
- Get two plain bagels
- Thread a string through both bagels
- Put them over your eyes and tie it tight in the back
- Enjoy your bagel vision!
3. Bagel Taste Test
- Get one of each bagel type (onion, salt, egg, blueberry, etc)
- Cut the bagels into small pieces
- Blindfold a friend and feed them pieces to see if they can guess which kind is which.
4. Make colored cream cheese
- Get a container of plain cream cheese and some different colored food colorings
- Create cool designs on your bagels!
5. Bagel Art
-Print the bagel page on this site
-Design the bagel as arty and funky as possible
-Using color, glitter, sparkles
-Sign your name with the date
-Hang on fridge or wall
6. Play Musical chairs with "Bagel Time"
-The winner receives title of "King/Queen Bagel"
7. Bagel Mitzvah
-Make a yummy bagel sandwich for your mom or dad and tell them you love them
-Bring your bubbie, zaydeh, aunt or uncle a dozen bagels and a big hug
-Give bagel sandwiches to a homeless shelter
8. Bagel Basketball (like horse)
- Set up a bucket on your lawn
- Player one chooses a place to throw the bagel into the bucket from
- If the bagel lands in the bucket, then each subsequent player must make the take shot
- Each player who misses the shot gets a "B"
- Next, player two chooses a place to throw the bagel from into the bucket
- If player two makes the shot, each other player must try the same shot
- Any player who misses the shot gets an "A"
9. Bake YUMMY bagel meals ALL DAY like:
-Bagel pizza
-Bagel french toast
-Bagel with cream cheese (and lox if you like?!)
-Bagel chips n dip
-Grilled cheese on a bagel
-Veggie Bagel sandwich
10. At the end of National Bagel Day, in your pajamas, right before bed blast Mama Doni CD and sing BAGEL TIME! And before you go to sleep, don't forget to call your bubbie, zehdeh or special aunt or cousin and tell them how bagelicious they are and that you love 'em!
